Ay, yi, yi!

Hi guys! It's Wednesday!! *Does a happy dance. Aaaaand even more importantly - Sweetpea is ok *jumps up and down like a mad woman. Poor pea got in to baking chocolate yesterday morning. Thankfully my mom caught her in the act and called the vet. With out grossing you out, they thought she had gotten it out of her system herself and told us to watch her. I was at work when this all went down and missed my moms frantic calls telling me to come home and take care of pea because she had to head to work. Worst drive home of my life - thankfully she was still up and moving when I got home. I have never seen her so sick and lethargic in my life though :-/ Poor thing. Around 10 last night she was able to hold down food and we knew she was out of the woods. *Phew. Sick furbabies are so sad. They can't tell you where it hurts or how bad it is. Anywho, thank you all for the kind words on IG last night. I was freaked out beyond belief.

Moving on to something a little more upbeat (not entirely sure how you smoothly transition after talking about a sick pup - forgive me)... a newly thrifted look!

I thrifted this cute basic black peter pan collar top along with the fun daisy pin a couple of weekends back at the half off sale. Score!! The skirt was thrifted ages ago. I am glad to have found a new spiffy work outfit :]

Outfit Details: Top, pin, skirt - thrifted | Shoes - DSW.

I also re-dyed my hair last weekend. Life is good with newly dyed hair. Tehehe. Alright, I am going to go. I am writing this with Pea nestled in my lap and I think she needs some more lovies and tlc. Have a beautiful day everyone! Love on your pets for me and pea :]

  5. Poor puppy! Glad to hear she is ok! My mister's dog eats chocolate every chance he gets and has yet to get sick. It's the weirdest thing!

    1. Thank you! Yikes, that dog is lucky then. It really depends on the type of chocolate, the amount, and the size of your dog. The chocolate pea had was the most condensed - aka worst, and she is the size of a peanut. Not a good combo.

  6. Aww your poor puppy. Glad she's okay. I sympathize as I too cannot eat chocolate! I've ended up in the hospital plenty of times. And omigod, your hair looks beautiful. As does your outfit! I love nearly thrifted outfits that look entirely store bought.

  11. Oh, no! I'm glad she's ok! That happened to my sister's chihuahua once and he was terribly sick like you described. We were all just hoping and praying he'd live cuz he's so small and he ate SO much of it! Luckily he turned out fine too!
I love that top, it looks even better on! Cute skirt too.

  16. I am definitely getting the Joan (of Mad Men) vibe from these photos. That work outfit is sexAy!! I'd be rocking that kinda look all the time in an office environment. I also remember the top - I like that you added that adorable flower pin to it! I thought it was part of the shirt but didn't remember it being there before.
I'm glad Pea was alright after that incident. My dog Jaxon once ate my entire box of Ex Lax that I had just purchased because I NEEDED it (hahaha gross). I literally had it sitting on the couch and got up to go get some water. When I came back the entire box was eaten and there was chocolate smears on the foil and floor. LOL! I was like, "Uhhh Mikey, I think Jaxon might die tonight. Either that or his ass is gonna explode...so yeah, possibly death." We were on major Jaxon-watch/taking him out to use the bathroom every five minutes and giving him water. Sure we could have taken him to the vet but we were like, "eh, let's see how it goes and he'll be alright", plus we quickly googled and half the people rush their dogs to the ER while the other just waited it out. I'm a wait it out kinda person. But it sometimes bites me in the ass. In this case, it was alright and Jaxon was back to his normal, sneaky self within a day. :)

    1. Tehehe, thanks. I typically don't dress up (like this) to work as much as I should. I get too sleepy in the morning and just throw on some dress pants - boring.

Hahahaha!! Oh no. I am so glad Jaxon was ok. Pups can be so darn sneaky, it is scary. I think waiting it out is typically good. I just get so nervous with pea's size.
